Safe not sorry

We want all our members to be protected against potential fraudulent activity held in the club name. With that in mind please remember the following advice:
1. The club will only contact you through Pitchero, from our email washingtonunited@sky.com the club phone number and social media pages.
2. Fundraising - all large fundraising such as sponsored events or big packs etc or anything which is expected to bring in over £100 in one go must be authorised by the club to protect everyone who is involved in it from the club down to the public who donate. If you have any doubts that any fundraising activity has not been authorised or money not banked correctly with the club by all means contact us to confirm. We have had issues like this before where people have raised money under the club name without authorisation and either kept it at home banked it in their personal account and not informed the club. Those people have been and will be reported to the FA and the police if appropriate as this would be a clear case of fraud or theft.

Don't be caught out, if you have any concerns contact us directly and in confidence.

Our fundraising guidance policy document is attached for your information.

Large fundraising does not include things like tea funds or lottery bonus balls etc but there is also guidance around this on the attached document.

Think something is wrong? report it

Washington United FC is committed to safeguarding our club and its members in all aspects including financial.
