WUFC Club Policies 2 of 7

2. Disciplinary Policy

The club, Washington United FC, takes no monetary responsibility for any disciplinary measures handed out by the FA or leagues to any individual or team for actions committed by themselves.

Yellow/Red Cards (player or team staff)

Once the disciplinary notice has been filed by the FA on the WGS and notified the club, a payment option for this will be created on Pitchero payments and the player will be requested to pay. In relation to Pitchero and the club’s safeguarding measures this notification of required payment will be sent to the attached parental account for immediate payment.
Any non-payment of these fines can result in the club or the FA suspending the player or team staff member from playing or taking part in future games until the payment is made.
Yellow card fines carry a standard £12 charge, though this is subject to change by the FA.
Red Card fines can vary depending on the severity of the incident and can range upwards from £25, though this is subject to change by the FA.
Red cards can also carry an undetermined playing ban depending on the severity of the offence.

Misconduct Charges

If a player, coach, or team receives a misconduct offence from the FA then they will be contacted by the Club Secretary in relation to this matter. The player, coach, or team will need to decide whether they wish to plead guilty or not guilty to these charges. All charges carry a standard £15 admin charge that will need to be paid by the player, coach, or team regardless of the outcome of the charges.

If pleading GUILTY, then the Club Secretary will place this plea on the Misconduct charge and then await the verdict of the FA in terms of disciplinary action. The accused will be given full information of potential sanctions before submitting a plea and will then be liable for the fine/suspension handed out by the FA in conclusion of this charge.
If pleading NOT GUILTY, then the Club Secretary will place this plea on the Misconduct charge. The individual or team will then be responsible for organising their own statements and defence of the charges. They will also need to attend a hearing (in person or via Microsoft Teams) to plead their case. The FA will then deliberate on all the information, statement, testimonies and come to a verdict. This verdict will be backed by the club fully, at all times.

A payment for the total amount (including admin fee) will be created on Pitchero payments to be paid immediately. Any failure to play can result in the club and FA suspending the accused from taking part in any football activity until resolved.

********
For large fines, the club is open to arranging a payment scheme or other methods of extended payment to help the accused pay back the full amount over a period of time. If this is needed, then please contact the Club Secretary and we will assess each case individually to help payment be made.

********
The club will abide by any decision made by the FA, and back this position fully at all times.
