5. Sponsorship Policy

GENERAL TEAM SPONSORSHIP

Washington United FC’s sponsorship policy has changed in the following ways:

Going forward from now, 100% of all sponsorship money that a team receives will be able to be used by the team under the following conditions:

- A new sponsor must sponsor something for your team. The name of the sponsor will be shown on this item/items as a sign of their sponsorship. If the amount they sponsor is more than the cost of the item that they sponsored then all remaining funds will be available for the team to use as they see fit.

As an example of this, if a sponsor sponsors your team for £500 to purchase winter coats, and the cost of the coats and the printing of the sponsor’s name is £400, then the remaining £100 will sit in the team’s account to be used when needed.

Examples of items that could be sponsored are as follows:

- Away Kit (Currently Yellow and Black)
- Winter Coats
- Rain Jackets
- Hoodies
- Zipped Jackets
- Water Bottles
- Other team based paraphernalia

HOME KIT AND TRAINING SHIRT

The club currently supplies a full home kit (shirt, shorts and socks) and a training shirt to each team every two seasons. These kits will currently only display club wide sponsors in areas of the shirts that are NOT FRONT CENTRE.

If a sponsor wishes to sponsor the cost of the main match kit provided by the club for a team, then the following will take place:

- The sponsor will pay for the full cost of the home match kit (this cost can be obtained by the club). The sponsor will then have their name on the FRONT CENTRE of the home match shirt.

- As a sign of goodwill, the club will reimburse 50% of this amount back to the team to use as they see fit. The same applies to the training shirts that the club supplies on a two-year renewal basis.

As an example of this if a full team’s worth of home match kit is sponsored for £500 after adding the sponsor’s name to the match shirt, then the club will reimburse £250 into the team account to be used when needed.

**Any home match kit will be open to display any club sponsors that are obtained by the club. This club-wide sponsor will NOT be displayed on the front centre of the home match shirt, but another suitable space will be found on the front, rear or sleeves of the shirt to display this. The club reserves the right to add any club-wide sponsors to home match shirts at the time of kit renewal.**
