1. Players Code of Conduct


We all have a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour in the game. As a
player, you have a big part to play. That’s why Washington United is asking every player to
follow a Respect Code of Conduct.

 Always arrive on time for matches, training and club events with help of my parents.

 Always come prepared for training or matches with the correct equipment

 Always RESPECT my coaches, listening carefully to instructions at all times.

 RESPECT all equipment at whatever venue I am at

 Always play to the best of my ability

 Play fairly – I won’t cheat, complain or waste time

 RESPECT my team-mates, the other team, the referee or my coach/manager

 RESPECT all parents and spectators

 Play by the rules, as directed by the referee

 shake hands with the other team and referee at the end of the game

 listen and respond to what my coach/team manager tells me

 Talk to someone I trust or the club welfare officer if I’m unhappy about anything.

 No swearing or bad language on the field of play or at training.

 Bullying and discrimination is not acceptable, respect others at all times.

 We will look after our personal kit, team and club equipment.

 Players must not wear jewellery during matches.

 Players must wear Washington United kit issued to them for matches and training.

 Players (parents) will be responsible for fines to pay from bookings or sending’s off

 Players should not enter a pitch or training area until instructed to by the coach or
manager. Do not interrupt the game or training session that is on before/after you.

 Always tell the coach/manager if you need to leave the pitch or training area.

 Never leave the venue with your parent/carer and without telling the manager

 Remember you are part of a team and a club, look after each other and remember
your behaviour reflects on everyone else within the club.
