The opposition:

Darlington Railway Athletic Football Club is a football club based in Darlington, England. They are currently members of the Wearside League Division One and play at Brinkburn Road.

The club was formed after World War I and initially played in the Darlington & District League. They joined the Northern League in 1919. However, they finished bottom of Division One in 2006–07 and were relegated back to Division Two. In 2017–18 the club finished second-from-bottom of Division Two and were relegated to the Wearside League.

Washington United and Darlington RA have only played eachother once in both the clubs history’s. It ended in Washington’s favour with a 4-2 victory thanks to goals from Jordan Lee, Andy Home and Lewis Charlton.

Team News:

Washington are without 7 key players this weekend, Jordan Lee, Taylor Mason, Niall Smith, Seth Joez, Dan Summerson, Mark Parvin and Ben Lowrie are all unavailable.

However, new signing Callum Robinson is in the squad and prepared to make his debut. Forward, Jack Mortimer also prepares to return to the side.
