Washington are back on the road as we contend in the late kick off at Leyburn Grove Stadium against Farringdon Detached FC. (7:30pm)
The lads look to continue there winning ways after recently defeating bottom of the league, West Auckland Tunns 2-0 at home. Washington currently sit 11th after winning 3 of their last 5 games and only being defeated once.
Liam Lay’s Farringdon side look to have tailed off after an impressive start, sitting 12th in the table but having only won one game in 6. However, that win came against run away league leaders Boldon CA FC. In their most recent game, Farringdon managed to rescue a point thanks to a very late Stan Ogunsuyi strike, earning them a 2-2 draw away to Annfield Plain.
Team News:
Washington go into the game with 10 players unavailable. Micheal Young starts his 3 game ban after seeing red against Gateshead Leam Rangers. Harvey Cronin, Mitchell Simons, Brian Harrison and Brandon Ward continue to be stuck on the sidelines after recent injuries. Michael Parkin, Peter Henderson and star Centre back Matt Thornton are all unavailable due to work commitments. Jack Young has other commitments preventing him from playing. Niall Smith is currently isolating.
However, Washington are boosted by the return off attacking midfielder James Chapman pending international clearance.
After spending pre season with United, staring in every game and earning himself two Man of the match awards along the way, chapman left the club to Persue his football career in the states. Chapman has now returned and will be part of the squad for the next 2 month before returnin to the US.
Forward, Harry Wood looks to continue his goal scoring form. The 22 year old has recently Notched an impressive 12 goals in 8 games and is currently on a run of scoring in 6 consecutive games.

Wednesday’s game is a 7:30pm kick off and is to be played at Leyburn Grove, Houghton le spring, DH4 5EQ. There is no online ticket method. Unfortunately, it is first come first served on the gate.
