The Blues will be looking to bounce back from a morale denting defeat at the hands of Sunderland Eagles last weekend. That game saw a very physical team actually, physically hurt a number of The Blues with laws of mini-soccer not being implemented by the referee, but he wasn't helped by the "coaches" refusing to encourage their players to obey the retreat line rule until very late in the game.
Jake W scored The Blues' only goal. The team did not build on the excellent progress they have shown over recent weeks but didn't really have the time or space due to the physical approach of the opposition.
The Blues know that the result does not matter and what they need to do to improve; equally they know what they need to keep doing in order to keep progressing.
Another new team to The Blues awaits us on Saturday (10.30 k.o). If the team can continue to find and create space then the game should be competitive. A ruthless streak needs to be shown with more shots on goal taken. Continuing to keep discipline as regards team shape and remembering that a lot of football is played without the ball, should see the team do well.
Have fun, take risks, try hard. Good luck!
